Top guided and manufactured with profiled valve plug to give linear, equal percentage or on-off characteristics.  The seat is normally threaded into the valve body.  The valve can be equipped with a bellows seal for hazardous chemical service, or with a soft seat to comply with leakage requirements to ANSI Class VI.  Typical valve for recovery is approx. 0.82 and rangeability is approx. 30.
