Multistage trim control valves feature specially designed trim that controls the fluid velocity for applications where there is a high pressure drop that with conventional control valve trim would suffer from high velocities and therefore conditions for erosion, cavitation (if liquid flow), or high noise and vibration.  This specially designed trim counteracts these unwanted and negative conditions.  Typical values for Recovery factor are approx. 0.98; and Rangeability approx. 100 (special execution 200 available).
